Policies

At Marben & Co we are committed to operating responsibly, transparently, and in full compliance with all relevant legislation. The statements below set out our position on each of our key policy areas. Full policy documents are available on request – please contact us at info@marben.co or call 01689 851518.

Modern Slavery

Marben & Co operates a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and human trafficking in all its forms. We are committed to ensuring these practices have no place in our business or supply chain.

We conduct right-to-work checks on all employees, carry out due diligence on subcontractors and supply chain partners, and maintain transparent and fair employment practices throughout our operations. All staff receive awareness training as part of their induction.

We take our responsibilities in this area seriously.

Equality, Diversity & Inclusion

At Marben & Co we are committed to providing a fair, inclusive, and respectful environment for everyone — our employees, subcontractors, clients, and partners.

We do not discriminate on the basis of age, disability, gender, race, religion, sexual orientation, or any other protected characteristic under the Equality Act 2010. We recruit on merit, treat our people with respect, and take any concerns about discrimination or harassment seriously.

We are an equal opportunities employer and expect the same standards from everyone who works within our business.

Environmental & Sustainability

Marben & Co is committed to reducing the environmental impact of our operations and the services we deliver. We hold ISO 9001 accreditation for Environmental Management, independently audited by the British Assessment Bureau.

We use dose-controlled dispensing systems to reduce chemical waste and packaging, and we actively promote eco-friendly product alternatives to all our clients. We manage waste responsibly, support clients with recycling and segregation on their sites, and consider the environmental credentials of every product and piece of equipment we use.

We comply with all relevant environmental legislation and work continuously to improve our environmental performance — from the products in our supply chain to the vehicles on the road.

Health & Safety

The health, safety, and welfare of our staff, clients, and everyone impacted by our operations are a fundamental priority at Marben & Co — not a box-ticking exercise. Every site we operate on receives an individual risk assessment before work begins. Site-specific method statements, COSHH controls, and emergency procedures are in place across all contracts. All operatives receive a full health and safety induction before starting work, with ongoing training and supervision throughout their employment. We comply with all relevant health and safety legislation including the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, COSHH Regulations, Manual Handling Regulations, and the Work at Height Regulations. All accidents and incidents are recorded and investigated, and our policy is reviewed annually.

Data Protection

Marben & Co is committed to handling all personal data — belonging to our employees, subcontractors, and clients — responsibly and in full compliance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

We collect only the data we need, use it only for the purposes for which it was collected, store it securely, and retain it only for as long as legally required. We do not sell personal data or share it with third parties except where required by law or necessary to deliver our services.

Individuals have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of the data we hold about them at any time. To make a request or raise a concern, contact us at info@marben.co or call 01689 851518.
